| 19/07/2009 | Treasure Hunt | John Adcroft has kindly agreed to organise a treasure hunt for us taking in the lanes of Suffolk and ending at the Ufford White Horse where they are running an all day BBQ. Details are to meet at the Village Shop in Lower Ufford (IP13 6EA) at 11:00. Start treasure hunt at 11:30 with cars leaving at intervals. This will be a fairly simple run on the local lanes with basic clues. Finish after 1.5/2 hrs at Ufford White Lion (IP13 6DW) where they are running all day BBQ. At 2.30ish annual village dilly cart race (soap box) runs through village to finish at the pub then followed by village sports day on the pub meadow. Please let us know numbers as John has also offered to lay on complimentary bacon butties and coffee at the Village Shop to start the day. |

| 02/08/2009 | Helminham Hall | Once again we intend to attend this popular show, although hopefully the weather will be better than last year! If you intend to exhibit then you need to book in advance, or you can just turn up on the day. Exhibitor entries have to be sent to Helmingham Hall by 10th July using the Booking Form on the web. I suggest we go for option 2 again which offers a discount on the standard entry price and gets you parking in the exhibitors area rather than the public car park. |

| 22/08/2009 | Big Northern Gathering | For this year’s trip North we have chosen the Leeming House hotel on the shores of Ullswater, nr Penrith. Helen & I will be staying Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening with a dinner to be arranged for one of those nights at extra cost. Not only is this year’s event being held in a major tourist area but it has also been brought forward into the school summer holidays. As a result rooms are going very quickly so please book now to avoid disappointment. We have already block reserved a number of rooms so please contact us and we will give you the booking code. |
